Wintersky
A leader of the Underground Children, Wintersky's birth name is unknown and he has no memories of his life before being brought to the Underground Children at the age of five along with his little sister whom they christened Summersong. At the age of 17 he took over leadership of Eaglesflight, one of the most prominent of the Underground Children's nests, and has a reputation for literally knowing everything that is going on due to the immense amount of information that passes over his desk. He is an acknowledged workaholic and doesn't understand why his friends make such a big deal about placing himself in danger when he goes topside.
Nightingale
Eldest daughter of Falcon, chief of the Firesong Clan, Nightingale is a giftedMinstrel with a lamentable tendency to land herself in trouble. A strong willed and independent spirit, she has studied and become an expert at hand-to-hand combat under the tutelage of Gideon whom she considers to be an adopted brother. Due to her close friendship with Gideon and several other key players in The Family she often uses her traveling as a minstrel to help them out, especially after meeting Alex, who she truely believes is redeemable no matter what anyone else says.
Gideon
Born Sade DeVoix, Gideon is the son of Katherine Hunter and Josiah DeVoix who were both instrumental in the founding of the Family. He is the last of a line of prophets stretching back to the birth of the Clans and so changed his name with his calling from Sade to Gideon. He continues to go by Sade in his undercover work as an agent in The Corporation with his partner Sean Wakefield and Damon Cross. With his father MIA, Gideon also has an active leadership role in the Underground including a position on their Council of Elders. In both roles he is often brought into contact with Tony Hunter whom he considers to be his sister though she vehemantly denies it.
Scales
Little is known about this Aussie, well...I mean people seem to think he's an aussie. He could be, definatly has an accent. In the conflict between The Corporation and The Family this survivalist tends to keep to himself and...well, survive. However beneath all those dragon hard scales there does seem to be a bit of a softy burried down in there - deep down. Perhapes thats why Tony agreed to teach him, well that and there are only a hand full of M Class anomalies in the world.
Dr. Emily Newt
The only M'class anomalie not to have origionated from a cloning process. Dr. Emily Newt came about the anomalie by mistake - as all M'class amomalies are - and was intercepted by Tony before The Corporation nabbed her and her work. Check out her here.
Leo
Like Scales, little is known about this M'class anomalie. He knows very little about his mother save for the stories that were told to him by those that raised him. He grew up in one of the many forgotten city ruins known as ghetto's and earned a reputation among the many gangs there as being as caring as he is fierce. Despite his possition of being one of the most influential gang leaders of the ghetto he opted to relinquish his authority to others in order to protect the forgotten city from The Corporation. His city later became a haven for the underground and he became one of Tony's most powerful and beloved students.
